Our mission is to re-inject virtue ethics into mainstream culture.
Rooted in natural law ethics, GoodContest holds public contests by scoring each individual's transactions as either good or bad. This binary world of good/bad, yes/no, and 0/1 began with Aristotle and shifted focus to storing data with Basile Bouchon and Claude Shannon. We like to think of GoodContest as merging timeless virtues, personal finance and binary digits.
We believe today's culture is starved of ethical behavior and can use financial accountability as a vehicle to create great change. Imagine how many families would benefit if 1,000,000 people found positive impact from GoodContest and began thinking twice about consumer habits, savings, spending, donations, etc.

How It Works
GoodContest hosts 3-month contests year-round to award individuals with the healthiest transaction history. Each contest's ruleset, which determines an individual's transaction health score and payouts, is:
a) published on the ruleset page here,
b) voted on and approved by users, and
c) open to contributors by downloading the ruleset template and submitting suggestions to cs@goodcontest.org.
You can register at any time and immediately receive weekly email updates on your status within a contest.
